AHMC has branched out of Harub Dental Surgery (HDS) founded in 1977 by Dr. Harub Al-Kharusi. Dr. Harub is the 2nd Omani dentist following in the footsteps of his late Uncle Dr. Saud Al-Kharusi who was the first Omani dentist. Dr Harub is the first Omani to start up a private dental practice, HDS, in Oman in 1977. Dr. Harub’s vision is to give back to his beloved country Oman by providing the best health care services. He also founded the first private hospital in Oman, Shatti Hospital, along with His Highness Sayid Asaad Bin Tariq Al-Said, and Dr. Abdullah Daar. In 2003 Dr Harub founded AHMC which included medical and dental services and when Dr Harub’s daughter returned from the US in 2007, she introduced mental health services within AHMC, making her the first Omani to introduce mental health services in private practice. AHMC aims to uphold the vision of Dr. Harub by providing world-class experts working together across specialties to give the Omani community unparalleled care they deserve.
