Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (formerly Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade) was established in 1960 , is the former Ministry of Foreign Trade (economic) Cooperation under the Ministry of Colleges and Universities, 1982 became a bachelor's degree granting unit, 1984 began training graduate students, 1986 to become the master's degree The unit was placed under the management of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government in 1994.
