Aziz-Nesin-Grundschule

Our Aziz Nesin Primary School has existed for twenty years since January 2016. Our school emerged from a parents' initiative by German - Turkish parents. From initially two preliminary classes with 32 pupils in German and Turkish as their mother tongue, a three-class school with around 360 pupils has emerged. The school catchment areas have been canceled for the Staatliche Europaschule Berlin, which means that children from all parts of Berlin can visit our school. Most of the students come from Kreuzberg and Neukölln, but of course there are also children from other districts. With 24 to a maximum of 26 children, we offer an optimal learning atmosphere in our classes. In our school we learn and live equally in the two languages ​​German and Turkish, which are spoken and taught by native German and Turkish teachers and educators. 39 teachers and 21 educators are currently working at our school. And of course our school secretary, our caretaker, volunteers, interns and freelance workers also enrich our school life. Since 2015 our educational work has also been supported by two social workers in the school station.
